TALB Association Representatives
|
The Association Representative is the direct link between TALB, the organization, and its members. The Association Representative serves members at his/her site by representing members in grieving and discipline matters, holding meetings, distributing literature and conferring with site administrators on teacher concerns. The Association Representative also represents teachers as a voting member of TALB's policy-making body at the Representative Council that meets monthly.
The TALB Representative Council is composed of at least one representative from each school site in the District. Sites are allotted one representative for each fifteen (15) members or major fraction thereof.

Rep News and Announcements
- Association Representatives must be elected EVERY year by June 1st for the following school year. Please make sure that a non-candidate TALB member conducts the election using the Rep Election Resource Packet. - If a member is being asked to sign a code of ethics by your administrator, he or she can sign the CTA/NEA Code of Ethics instead. Click here to download a copy.
-
Please be sure to update your school site roster of current members and agency fee payers so that we can update our records and site counts.
-
If you or your members need TALB, District, or State/Federal forms, you can find some in the Contract & Rights section of this web site. They're on the Documents and Forms page.
-
If a member goes on Statutory or Unpaid Leave, he or she can change their membership class to Category 3A and pay less dues. Be sure to tell the member to inform the TALB office when this happens and also to inform us when he or she returns from Leave!
- Ask your members if they have an updated Survivor Benefit Card on file here at the TALB office. If something should happen to them, their beneficiary will receive $3,000 from TALB. Click here to download a copy.
